About PotShop

Handcrafted ceramics made with love since 2011

Our Story

PotShop was born in a small studio in Portland, Oregon, where co-founders Clara Ashworth and Marcus Thiele spent weekends throwing pots and dreaming of sharing their work with the world. What started as a hobby quickly became a calling.

In 2011 they opened their first kiln room above a flower shop on Burnside Street. Word spread quickly — their signature earthy glazes and satisfying weight attracted a loyal following of chefs, coffee lovers, and home decorators alike.

Today PotShop works with a collective of eight independent ceramic artists across the Pacific Northwest, each bringing their own style while staying true to the handmade ethos that started it all.

What We Believe

🤲

Handmade Always

Every piece is shaped, trimmed, glazed and fired by hand. No molds, no mass production — just skilled hands and honest clay.

🌱

Sustainably Sourced

We source our stoneware clay from a family-run quarry in Montana and use lead-free, food-safe glazes with natural mineral pigments.

🏘️

Community First

5% of every sale goes toward ceramic arts scholarships for under-resourced youth in Oregon and Washington.
